TravelClick is an innovative, industry-leading provider of cloud-based, data-driven solutions for hoteliers around the globe. However, their position in the marketplace was under threat from direct software competitors, online travel agencies (OTAs) like Expedia, and industry disruptors like AirBnB. One of their core solutions iHotelier, a white-label booking engine was desperately out of date. Hotel managers complained the platform was too restrictive, and customers complained it was too complicated and confusing to find the best hotel room for the right price. Our assignment was to transform their platform into a simple, modern, mobile-friendly experience that would reduce abandonment, improve customer satisfaction, and drive sales. Our concept was radical simplicity, by reducing the number of steps in the booking process and increasing the amount of information and functionality for customers.
